Fall Trends Done Affordably
Florida hasn’t received the memo yet that it’s Fall so I’m trying to make due with what I’ve been given. I can’t wait until the temperature drops even the slightest so I can wear some cozy sweaters, but in the meantime I’m doing Fall Florida style and affordably. When it comes to my style I like to mix high and low pieces. I’m all about an expensive handbag, but I enjoy high street fashion like ASOS, Topshop, Zara, H&M, Nordstrom, etc. When it comes to trends, I don’t think you should necessarily splurge because in six months you probably won’t wear anything you bought again.
I love the animal print trend right now and couldn’t pass up this Zara skirt for only $50. The detail on the skirt with the faux buttons running down the center and the slit makes for a flattering fit and can be worn multiple ways. I decided to wear it with a basic black tee also from Zara and my Steve Madden sneakers to keep it cool.
When the temperature decides to drop, I’d throw on a pretty pullover sweater and some boots and style it that way. A black leather jacket like this one I purchased during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale would also be a good match with this skirt. When it comes to animal prints, I wear it like an accessory so I’m okay with keeping everything else simple.
I’m also really into this dad sneaker trend if it’s done right. You can’t go wrong with black and I found these Balenciaga knock-off gems at Steve Madden on sale and I paid less than $50 for them. I’ll throw them on with a pair of jeans, a dress, or a skirt like this one for some edge and comfort.
