I can’t believe we’re about to be in the year 2019- whaaaatt?! Just saying that out loud sounds crazy. One of my goals for 2019 is to finish decorating our house. Devin got me the Home Body book by Joanna Gaines and I basically redecorated our entire house within an hour. Let’s just say he regretted getting me the design book LOL I have some plans for the new year.
Interior
To kick off the new year, we are going to get started on re-doing the floors in our house and painting. Right now we have carpet upstairs and outdated tile downstairs.
I plan on ripping it all out and doing vinyl upstairs and downstairs and re-carpeting the stairs. For a cleaner and brighter look, we are going to paint the walls all white. We painted them gray when we first moved in, but after living here I noticed we don’t really get that much sunlight throughout the house so painting the walls white will make it feel brighter. We also chose a neutral toned vinyl that isn’t too dark, making the space look smaller, or too light where there isn’t enough of a contrast.
I think these two changes will make such a big difference and will also make our furniture look better. It’ll bring everything full circle. Below are some inspiration pics from my Pinterest board to help you get a feel of the tones I am going for.

After we change the floors and paint, I want to focus on the bathrooms. Our master bathroom especially needs to be completely re-done. I’m excited to pick out fixtures, tile, mirrors etc. I love the whole process of making something feel like you. Devin and I have very similar taste and I want to make sure everything we do, we both agree on and represents us both. Below are some bathroom mood board pics 🙂
