DIY HOME PROJECT: PIN BOARD

If you have an inconveniently located panel box in the interior of your home and are looking to disguise it, this post is for you. Ours is located in the middle of our downstairs and you can’t miss it. I disguised it by hanging a large macrame over it from Homegood’s for about 2 years, now I’m over it and wanted something different.

One of my favorite creatives, Athena Calderone aka Eyeswoon – posted a DIY pinboard for an office – interior designers often use these to create mood boards, inspiration, color stories, etc. I thought this was PERFECT – I run Common Creative Home from my home, so this DIY project would double up as a disguise and also functional for work. If you aren’t an interior designer, that’s fine. You can use the pinboard to pin up some of your favorite family photos, quotes, recipes, etc.

WHAT YOU NEED:

+ Burlap

+ Staple Gun

+ Hot glue gun

+ Brass washers + screws

+ Homasote board
