“Home Is Where Love Resides, Memories Are Created, Friends and Family Belong And Laughter Never Ends”
Hey everyone! Last time we spoke, we had just begun our home improvement. First things first, painting. The painting is finally complete and we have moved on to the next step, our floors. If you follow me on Instagram then you probably have seen some progress photos. Dev and the BEST FATHER IN-LAW EVER, started ripping up the carpet upstairs and coming up with a game plan to lay down the floors. There are so many options and brands to choose from when it comes to picking a floor. We decided to go with vinyl because it’s water resistant and easier to install than tile. I definitely wanted a brown toned vinyl, but not too dark and without grey tones.
The upstairs is pretty much completed (top picture is of me and Dev in the master bedroom), but we can’t really organize all of our belongings until the downstairs is done because of the furniture that’s everywhere. The plus side in having the house upside down is we were able to go through all of our drawers and closets and get rid of things we weren’t using or didn’t bring us joy anymore. I’ll post final photos once we get everything back in place, but I LOVE the way it turned out. It feels like a new home, new beginning, and light. Marie Kondo from the Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, would definitely approve. Anyone else watch that show and feel instant satisfaction watching strangers clean and declutter?
Stay tuned for more updates and for the finished product 🙂
