While we’re spending some extra time at home during this pandemic – i’m still making an effort to get ready during the week. It helps with my mindset + gives me something to look forward to. If you want to take this time to glam up one day while you’re at home + recreate a 90’s JLO look , below are the steps + makeup product breakdown i used to achieve this look.
HOW- TO STEPS:
+ start with moisturized skin + some glow drops for a glowy base . i love these glow drops by Rodial.
+ use a darker shade cream foundation or concealer on your cheekbones, forehead and chin for your contour. i used this one by ABH.
+ go over your cream contour with your foundation on a brush first to blend it all together + then use a beauty blender to pick up any excess product. I used this drugstore foundation for this look.
+ go in with a corrector to cancel out darkness under your eyes / concealer. use a concealer that is a shade or two lighter than your foundation for some definition. I used this and this for this look.
+ use a translucent powder mixed with a brightening banana powder on a damp beauty blender to bake under your eyes to help set the concealer. My favorite combo is this + this.
+ bronze it up – don’t be shy with the bronzer because JLO’s signature look is bronze. take the bronzer over where you cream contoured (forehead, cheek bones + jawline) i used this bronzer. use the same bronzer as eyeshadow on your eye lid + under your bottom lash line.
+ add some color to your cheeks with a deep rose-y blush like this one by Charlotte Tilbury.
+ highlight your cheekbones, eyebrow arch, inner corner of your eyes, down the bridge of your nose + your cupids bow for some extra glow. i used this highlighter by the balm cosmetics.
+ use individual eye lashes or strips for a fluffy lash. i used these by Jordyn Woods.
+ i smudged this brown eyeliner over the eyelash band half way across my upper lash line only.
+ go in with mascara, my favorite mascara right now is this one by Honest Beauty.
+ use a dark nude/brown lipliner + a nude lipstick in the center. i mixed KKW beauty x mario lipliner + he’s a mixer lipstick.
