The Home Stretch
Hey everyone!! I wanted to update everyone who is keeping up with our home reno. We are at the home stretch people, we’ve made our way downstairs and I can see the finish line! Luckily, Dev and his dad were able to lay the vinyl over the existing tile downstairs which saves us a lot of time and an even bigger mess. The downstairs is almost finished once they lay down the floor, they have to put the baseboards back up and we are ready to go!!! I can’t wait to put our furniture back in place and I’ve already thought of new furniture I want to get to redecorate 🙂
I’m thinking of a book shelf, a leather chair and white couch. I don’t know how realistic the white couch will be with two dogs, but a girl can dream. Changing the floors has inspired me and I’m rolling with it. I want to get new rugs also because you can change the whole mood of a room with a rug. I’m thinking white and a brown natural fiber one for the dining room. We’re also going to change some hardware – making the door handles matte black.
I can’t wait to get to work once the foundation is done. Dev lays the foundation (floors, paint, etc) and I do the finishing touches, decorate. I’m so thankful that Dev and my father-in-law are so handy and know how to do so much around the house.
