What The Last Decade Has Looked Like

It’s wild to think that 10 years have gone by + how much has changed + happened since then. Thinking back, it feels like 2010 was so long ago while also feeling like it was just the other day. Time is funny that way. I tried to scroll through my Instagram + Facebook page to gather as much info. as I could over the last decade because my memory is bleak.

A lot has changed since 2010 – I traveled more, loved more, worked more, got married, adulted hard AF, became a dog mom of 2 + a business owner. I’m ready for the roaring 20’s round 2 + can’t wait to see what the next decade will bring. Here’s to positive vibes, lots of love + hustle.

2010

  • I was a junior in high school + my biggest worry was figuring out what I was going to wear to school the next day.
  • I was playing flag football + in the fashion academy
  • Pretty sure IG launched this year?

2011

  • Spent my 18th birthday at a Greek restaurant dancing on tables with my closest friends
  • Got my first job outside of modeling at Hollister as a greeter
  • Went to NYC with my best friends
  • Spent Christmas in SC with my family
  • Was on the basketball team

2012

  • I surprised my BFF in NYC for her birthday
  • I met my future husband at the end of my senior year
  • Went to prom with my future husband for our first date
  • Started officially dating my future husband
  • Graduated high school and celebrated in the Keys
  • Started college + moved on to campus
  • Met my college BFF + roomie
  • Spent a lot of nights at the beach
  • Devin taught me how to drive stick shift

2013

  • Spent my first year of college living on campus
  • Took a semester off of school and moved to London for three months for work with a new agency. Blog post on how to make a long distance relationship work here
  • Spent a month in Milan for work with a new agency and turned 20 by myself
  • Booked a Hollister campaign
  • We got Mia Sophia 🙂

2014

  • Seventeen Magazine feature came out
  • Shot for Sherri Hill
  • Spent my summer in NYC working

2015

  • Saw myself in an NYC window for the first time
  • Shot for Self Magazine
  • Devin and I got engaged surrounded by our family
  • Went to Maryland to visit Devins family

2016

  • I booked my first job with Garnier
  • I lived in Chelsea in NYC in a closet – literally + started my blog! first blog post here
  • Traveled to St. Kitts, St. Thomas + Bahamas – blog post here
  • Went to Vegas + saw JLO at her residency

2017

  • Graduated college
  • Got represented in LA and spent a month out there
  • Spent my 24th birthday in NYC for work + Devin surprised me
  • Devin started his career as a real estate agent
  • My first box with Garnier came out
  • We started looking for our first house
  • We bought our first house / moved in together for the first time
  • Did A LOT of wedding planning – blog post here

2018

  • Had my bridal shower – post here
  • Went to NYC for my wedding dress fittings at Kleinfeld – post here
  • Went to Vegas for my bachelorette party – post here
  • Devin and I got married! Best day of our lives – post here
  • We went to Italy for our honeymoon and ate too much pasta + pizza – post here + here
  • We grew our family when we bought Dixie Rae!!
  • Shot a campaign for Tresemme in NYC

2019

  • We renovated our home; new floors and bathrooms – post here + here
  • Bought a lot of new furniture for our home
  • My Tresemme campaign launched in Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, etc. / NYC subway
  • Saw a life-size version of myself at Caesar’s Palace in Vegas
  • Spent a month in LA + got to shoot for the Kendall + Kylie Collection
  • Started my interior decorating business, Common Creative Home
  • Devin tripled his sales from last year
  • Spent A LOT of time with my best girls this year
  • Also got the best news of my life – more on that later 😉
  • Spent a lot of quality time with family to end the year and bring on the new decade
